Walnut Venetian Blinds with Black Tapes in a Home Office near Bawtry

Some rooms just need one last finishing touch. When Mick asked us to help transform his home office near Bawtry, the room was already beautifully decorated, with soft sage green walls, rich walnut furniture and a herringbone floor. The windows were the final piece of the puzzle, so we fitted walnut wood Venetian blinds with black tapes and black pulls to tie the whole space together.

Walnut Venetian blinds that match the furniture

The walnut desk and sideboard set the tone for this office, so the blinds needed to feel like part of the furniture rather than an afterthought. The walnut slats pick up the same warm grain, and against the sage walls they look rich and calm. Now the windows, the walls and the furniture all read as one finished room.

Black tapes and pulls for a sharp finish

Choosing black tapes and black pulls was the detail that made these Venetian blinds. The dark tapes run down each blind like a pinstripe, framing the walnut and echoing the black accents around the office. It is a smart, tailored look that suits a working space perfectly.

Beautiful open, even better closed

In the daytime, with the slats open, the blinds let the light pour into the office while still adding warmth to the window. Close them, though, and they really come into their own. The sun is blocked out and the full colour and grain of the walnut is on show, slat after slat, set off by those crisp black tapes.
