Fit to Frame Wood Venetian Blinds on Bi-fold Doors in Retford
Bi-fold doors are lovely for letting the light in, but they are one of the hardest openings to dress. A normal blind gets in the way of the doors folding back, and curtains need a lot of wall space either side. For this home in Retford we fitted cream real wood Fit to Frame venetian blinds, one on each pane of glass, so the doors still open and fold exactly as they did before.

Why Fit to Frame venetians suit bi-fold doors
A Fit to Frame blind sits on the glazing bead of each door panel, inside the frame. Because each blind moves with its own pane, nothing hangs over the opening and nothing catches when the doors fold back. There are no cords to tangle and no gap down the side where light creeps in.

Real wood in a soft cream
We used Sunwood 25mm real wood slats in a cream finish. Real wood gives a warmth that aluminium can't match, and the cream keeps the room bright when the slats are open. Tilt the slats and you get privacy from the garden while still letting daylight through.

Looking good from the garden too
From the patio the blinds line up neatly pane by pane, so the doors look tidy from outside as well as in.
